A Los Angeles & Virginia based film production company.
Dragon Hunter Productions is an independent film and audio production company focused on creating content that features parts of the country that are not often depicted on screen. Growing up in rural Virginia shaped our lives immensely, and our projects are focused on telling unique stories from both underrepresented locations and populations.
After beginning with a series of popular YouTube channels and short film projects that screened at prestigious events like VidCon, Dragon Hunter Productions co-produced the feature film To the New Girl (2020) which premiered at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre on Hollywood & Highland on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The film won Best Feature by a First-Time Filmmaker at the Palm Springs Queen Palm International Film Festival, was awarded the Parity in Action Badge by Women in Media for its commitment to hiring women in positions above and below the line, and screened at a variety of other festivals around the country. It is now available streaming worldwide on Amazon, Apple TV, Tubi, Little Dot Studio’s Created By Women Channel, and the Alice Movies Channel among other outlets.
In 2023, we will be expanding our co-producing projects into an audio drama podcast, The Crime at Camp Ashwood, a limited mystery series set in the mountains of a North Carolina summer camp.
